Hi, I'm Carrie — the creator of Kitchen Design Magic. I'm a self-taught interior decorator who believes everyone deserves a home that feels beautiful, functional, and completely "you."

Over the past decade, I've renovated three homes from top to bottom — including a couple of 1970s fixer-uppers. After my husband Robert and I bought our first home in 2014 and tackled the remodel ourselves, I began sharing our progress online — and that's how Penny Modern was born.

Beyond Design

When I'm not filming design tips or experimenting with finishes, I'm working or playing at our vacation rental — The Funky Palm — in Indio, California. We transformed it into a playful, modern retreat that both my family and our guests love!
